Alcatel-Lucent has signed two contracts for marine maintenance services over the West Africa Cable System (WACS) and Africa Coast to Europe (ACE) cable system.
Currently maintaining over 300,000 km of critical submarine cable infrastructure worldwide, Alcatel-Lucent capitalizes on its unique experience as a turnkey provider, delivering a wide range of installation and commissioning, and marine operations and maintenance performed by its fleet of seven cable ships. Additionally, Alcatel-Lucent’s private maintenance agreements, including the Atlantic Private Maintenance Agreement (APMA), offer a unique solution adapting to the particular maintenance philosophies of individual cable owners and their needs.
